An Explanation of Bisexuality

by DoctorG on December 11, 2014

I really like this video.  I love his enthusiasm and agree with his point that the labels of gay, straight and bi are too restrictive and do not adequately describe someone’s sexual orientation and/or sexual conduct.  I would only add that sexual orientation can include who we romanticize, as well as who we eroticize.

I recommend Dual Attraction: Understanding Bisexuality by Martin S. Weinberg for a  more detailed study of this issue. – Doctor G

I remember after I graduated from The Institute For the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality, Betty Dodson’s Alma mater, I was trying to come up with a better term for the so called. “G Spot”, which is not anatomically correct but was a brilliant marketing term for the famous book by that name.

Betty said to me, “The G Spot is the fucking prostate” and after all is said and done, she was right. – Doctor G

New Research: Does Chelation Therapy Heal Hearts?

by DoctorG on February 8, 2014

I am not certain that the actual JAMA article (JAMA Network | JAMA | Effect of Disodium EDTA Chelation Regimen on Cardiovascular Events in Patients With Previous Myocardial Infarction:  The TACT Randomized Trial) actually supports this conclusion.  I would like it to be so but more research needs to be done with less resistance and more scientific curiosity from conventional cardiologists.

New Research: Chelation Therapy Heals Hearts.

Chelation is an accepted method for treating metal poisoning, but when it comes to using it for heart disease, cardiologists have often dismissed it as quackery. This is changing thanks to some new research. “For years I didn’t believe that chelation worked for heart…

It is amazing to me that no one has yet realized that no insurance company or group of insurance companies has any interest in being the primary insurer for seniors.  The risk is too unpredictable and the costs of such a risk pool could never be covered by a $5,000 voucher.  It is impossible to separate seniors from the general risk pool and have it be economically viable.

If you look at the original need for Medicare and its legislative history, you can see that a single payer, government sponsored basic program, enhanced by private Medicare suppliments, is the only realistic way to provide health care for ALL senior.

Paul Ryan’s Plan for Medicare: A Disaster for Seniors (Why Doctors Might Stop Taking Medicare) | Health Beat by Maggie Mahar.

“Robin Hood in reverse, on steroids”–that’s how Robert Greenstein, President of the Center on Budget Policy and Priorities (CBPP),  has described vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan’s blueprint for the 2013 budget: It could likely produce the largest redistribution of income from the bottom to the top in modern U.S. history.”

Could Israel have been located in Baja California?

March 14, 2013

by Gary Schubach, Ed.D. I recently came into possession of several letters, written in 1938, to my grandfather, Rabbi Joseph Jasin (1883-1968), by a group called NAI Judah, whose objective was “to unite the Jews of the world into one movement; to secure an undisputed territory for a sovereign Jewish State.”  These letters indicate a […]

The Many Faces of Little Beach

March 11, 2013

The Little Beach controversy has grown. A tiny secluded beach on Maui’s South Coast, between posh Wailea and undeveloped Makena has become the “eye” of a cultural storm about the custom of “clothing optional” dress for its visitors. Little Beach has been known for a decade or more as a place where those who choose […]

March 11, 2013

For many years, I looked for a Tantric sex video that was as good as or better than Ancient Secrets of Sexual Ecstasy. Until recently, I had been unsuccessful. Then, a colleague suggested I screen the Sinclair Institute’s The Tantric Guide to Better Sex. Wow – was I impressed! I am pleased to announce that […]

March 8, 2013

Church suspected of being brothel deciding if ‘religion’ will be used as a defense

July 14, 2012

A number of the defendants are taking plea deals rather than fight the charges and face the possibility of conviction and jail time, plus keeping their lives on hold for a long time.  As I have discussed before, I and many of my sexologist colleagues are sympathetic to their situation but pessimistic about the ultimate […]

Vaginal Orgasms Not a Myth

May 1, 2012

I agree with the article below that women should educate themselves about sexuality and what pleasures them or not.  However, I disagree with the conclusion that vaginal orgasms are a myth.  Most sexologists now accept at least clitoral, vaginal and “blended” orgasms.  I agree with Grafenberg that, “Innumerable erotogenic spots are distributed all over the […]

New Study Confirms Doctor G’s Conclusions About Female Ejaculation

April 9, 2012

In the past, the assumption has been that female urethral expulsions during sensual and/or sexual activity (aka “female ejaculation”) originated either in the bladder or from the urethral glands and ducts.  A new study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine confirms the conclusions of my doctoral research project that both may be the case.  In […]

Once Again, Does the G Spot Exist?

March 28, 2012

I agree with most of the article below, although there may be a sensitive area in the vagina, there is no evidence for a specific, distinct physical structure called the g-spot, is absolutely correct. Grafenberg (http://doctorg.com/site/the-role-of-urethra-in-female-orgasm) never made such a claim and was crystal clear that he was writing about the urethra and the Female […]
